The imaging department is equipped with a 300mA X-ray machine and two 20mA X-ray unit for immobile patients. A number of special procedures that include Barium series, Intravenous pyelography, micturating cystourethrography, Ascending urethrography, Hysterosalphingography, Myelogram, Fistulogram, Sinogram. T-tube cholangiography, are done on a regular basis. Other specialised procedures as required are done on request.

A treadmill stress test (also called an exercise EKG, stress EKG, exercise tolerance test, or treadmill exercise test) is a procedure designed to measure the heart’s response to the stress of physical activity. This test may help detect problems with heart rhythm or blood supply to the heart which may not be found on an EKG recorded at rest. Blood pressure is monitored at regular intervals during the stress test. Heart rate and blood pressure will normally increase during a stress test. An abnormally fast or slow heart rate or fall in blood pressure during the exam may indicate a problem.

The hospital has a dedicated portable Sonography, Color Doppler and peripheral Doppler, which facilitates evaluation of all types of cases.

Lung function tests include routine spirometry, assessment of lung volumes, diffusion capacity, histamine provocation tests and exercise testing for exercise induced Asthma.

Diagnostic Neurology services at Vrundavan Hospital are taken care of by our neurophysiology and neuroradiology division.

The former performs 18 channel Computerized EEG recording, 24 channel video EEG for long term monitoring as well as sleep pattern observation. Neuroradiology performs Spiral CT neuroimaging including dedicated CT angiography and 3 dimensional re-formatting. Neck vessel Doppler ultrasound imaging is routinely performed for extracranial cerebrovascular disease.

A dedicated peripheral vascular doppler machine, Volusan 730 pro, is a real boon to department of imaging. Colour Doppler is a useful and non invasive screening tool. This state-of-the-art equipment armed with multiple probes can do carotid, peripheral vascular, renal, small parts and gynaecological doppler studies.

It can be used in the diagnosis of congenital heart diseases, acquired heart diseases, Ischemic heart diseases, Valvular Pathologies. Fetal echo probes & pediatric echo probes are also available here.

It is used to evaluate the hearing ability of a person. Sound waves of different frequency are produced at a time and checked if the person is able to hear or not, checking one ear at a time.
