The management team of Vrundavan Hospital & Research Centre believes that the more educated the nurses are, the better the patient care is.
With more than 90,000 vacant positions and an ever growing requirement for hospital staff, the career outlook is excellent for the nursing field. In an effort to meet this need, Vrundavan began the Vrundavan Institute of Nursing Education which is situated next to the Secretariat at Porvorim. It is the state’s first private nursing institute to be recognized by both the Indian Nursing Council [INC] as well as the Maharashtra Nursing Council [MNC].

The Institute is well recognized to teach two principal courses:
- B.Sc. Nursing
- General Nursing & Midwifery [GNM]
- Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery [ANM]
Comfortable hostel facilities as per the INC and MNC guidelines have been provided for the students for both the GNM and ANM courses.
Students of all streams having passed Standard XII are eligible for the GNM course and students having passed the SSC examination are eligible for the ANM course. A minimum of 45% aggregate is required for admission. For the deserving but underprivileged students, Vrundavan Institute of Nursing Education organizes student loans to help bear the financial burden for the period of the course.
Vrundavan Institute of Nursing Education has an excellent faculty consisting of qualified and accomplished nurses. They have several years of clinical as well as teaching experience. The Nursing Institute is equipped with classrooms, audio-visual teaching aids and ward settings identical to hospitals with equipment and specimens for practical training sessions. Theoretical teaching will also be supplemented with practical sessions at various nearby Primary, Community and Urban Health Centres as well as local hospitals.
